June 27, 1944: The 'Alan Young Show' debuts on NBC

 
June 27, 1944: The Alan Young Show went on air for the first time on NBC. The show started as summer stand-in and then turned out to be permanent show in NBC roster for fall.  The show went on later to television, becoming a sketch comedy show.

  1. A good show, especially the later episodes with Jim Backus. His early version of Thurston Howell III is in it's full glory!
