  June 7, 1945: The Adventures of Topper debuted on NBC , starring Leo Carroll as Cosmo Topper. The show revolves around the ghosts that only Topper can hear or see. Even a St. Bernard haunts him.

June 6, 1938: NBC Airs the Stella Dallas Series

  June 6, 1938: For the first time NBC Red radio network aired the series of Stella Dallas . This series was based on true story about mother's love and sacrifice for her daughter. The  Stella Dallas  series lasted until 1955. The  Stella Dallas   series was based on Olive Higgins Prouty's 1923 novel of the same name. It originally started as a 15-minute local show in the City of New York in 1937, before it was adapted by NBC as an afternoon radio drama show a year later. It tells about the story of  Stella Dallas , beautiful daughter of a poor farm worker who suddenly became rich after marrying a wealthy man. The main theme of the story is the Stella's strong love for her daughter Laurel. Anne Elstner played Stella Dallas for the entire run of the show.

June 3, 1946: 'The Casebook of Gregory Hood' airs on Mutual

June 3, 1946: The Casebook of Gregory Hood   was the summer replacement series for radio broadcasts of   Sherlock Holmes . The mystery series debuted on Mutual Radio and became a regular weekly program in the fall of 1946. Casebook of Gregory Hood    was first starring by Gale Gordon and then it was starring by Elliot Lewis . In this show, the sponsor was 'Petri Wine', the announcer was 'Harry Bartel', and the writers were 'Dennis Green' & 'Anthony Boucher'. "This famous detective radio show was closed in May of 1947. June 2, 1937: Frank Morgan starred as the 'Fabulous Mr. Tweedy'

  June 2, 1937: NBC broadcast The Fabulous Dr. Teddy for the first time on this day. Dr Tweedy role was played by Frank Morgan. Fabulous Mr. Tweedy"" was a lighthearted  comedy radio show that featured Frank Morgan as the lead character, Mr. Thaddeus Q. Tweedy. Frank Morgan is famous for his role as Professor Marvel of the Emerald City  in the " Wizard of Oz ." The show is also known as  "The Frank Morgan Show."
