July 5, 1943: NBC Blue network presented The Adventures of Nero Wolfe for the very first time. The leading character, Nero Wolfe, was a detective genius who remained on air till 1951. Three actors were cast for the role of Nero during the series. The series first aired in New England and then moved to ABC where Santos Ortega resumed the role as Nero.
