September 20, 1953: Jimmy Stewart debuts in 'The Six Shooter'

September 20, 1953: Jimmy Stewart starred as Britt Ponset in his 1st appearance in an NBC Western program ‘The Six Shooter’.

Stewart was famous for whispering during the parts of high drama and suspense throughout the show. However, only 39 episodes ever aired, and the show lasted only one season. It ended well, with Stewart's character proposing marriage.
