July 14, 1957: Stan Freberg starts an entertainment show

  July 14, 1957: Comedian Stan Freberg started a weekly entertainment show on CBS. However the program continued just for a short while owing to origination of TV. "That's Rich" was the show which focused on a cynical, careless man who worked for a paper product company. Later, after Jack Benny , Stan Freberg also appeared on his own 'Stan Freberg Show'.

July 12, 1934: 7 Commisions of FCC accroding to The Act 1934

  July 12, 1934: First time, the governing body of the Federal Communications Commission was appointed. It consisted of 7 commissioners. The 1934 Act is partitioned into titles and sections that explain a variety of forces and issues of the Commission. The Titles included in 1934 Act are : Title I—FCC Administration and Powers. Title II—Common carrier regulation, primarily telephone regulation, including circuit-switched telephone services offered by cable companies Title III—Broadcast station requirements Title IV—Procedural and administrative provisions, such as hearings, joint boards, judicial review of the FCC’s orders, petitions, and inquiries. Title V—Penal provisions and forfeitures, such as violations of rules and regulations. Title VI—Cable communications, such as the use of cable channels and cable ownership restrictions, franchising, and video programming services provided by telephone companies. July 11, 1944: The Man Called X' airs on CBS for the 1st time

  July 11, 1944: The Man Called X broadcast on CBS for the first time. It featured Herbert Marshall in the leading role.  This series focused on espionage taking place in exotic places. Pagan, X's sidekick is often to blame for the locations they end up in. The character also offered comic relief.   Enjoy this 1947 broadcast "Silver Scarab":

July 7, 1927: Christopher Stone's first perform on BBC

July 7, 1927: On this day, for the first time, BBC play the records of British Disc Jockey, Christopher Stone. The recorded program on BBC was Christopher Stone's idea. He eventually asked BBC to adopt his idea. His casual style made the broadcast became highly popular during the era. After he joined the commercial station Luxembourg, he was banned from performing.  He later on he returned to the BBC.
